51.9409942626953;-8.58994293212891;BLARNEY NURSING HOME , Killowen , Blarney , Co. Cork , T23 X084 Personal Care Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding. Support with mobility and transfers (using hoists, wheelchairs, walking aids). Maintain residents’ privacy, dignity, and comfort at all times. Monitor skin integrity and report changes (pressure areas, bruises, redness). 2. Daily Living Support Help residents with meals and hydration, including feeding if required. Keep rooms tidy, assist with bed making, and ensure a clean, safe environment. Support residents in social activities and companionship to promote well-being. 3. Observation and Reporting Record and report any changes in residents’ condition to the nurse. Monitor vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) when trained. Complete daily care plans, charts, and documentation accurately. 4. Clinical Support (Under Nurse Supervision) Assist with continence care and catheter/stoma management. Help with medication rounds (only when trained and authorised). Collect samples (urine, stool) as directed. Support in infection control measures. 5. Emotional and Social Support Offer empathy, reassurance, and emotional care. Encourage residents to maintain independence and self-esteem. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team. 6. Professional and Ethical Practice Follow HIQA standards, infection prevention, and safeguarding policies. Respect confidentiality and residents’ rights. Participate in training, induction, and continuous professional development.
