VACANCIES

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced personnel to fill the following posts which have arisen within Rusape Town Council’s Central Administration Department.

FIRE FIGHTERS × 5

Applicants must have the following:

Duties and Responsibilities

Major Responsibilities

* Help protect the public in emergency situations.* Inspecting and enforcing safety standards in commercial and residential properties.* Working with Police and Ambulance Service personnel.* Demonstrating the use of fire-fighting equipment.* Promoting fire safety via talks, advice and training sessions.

Qualifications and Experience

* 5 ‘O’ Levels including English and Mathematics.* Certificate/Diploma in Fire-fighting.* Clean Class 2 Driver’s License.* Geographical knowledge of Rusape Town.

Core Competencies

* Knowledge of fire-fighting operating instructions.* Possess knowledge of emergency response procedures.* Good communication skills.* Demonstrate physical ability.* Possess very good problem-solving techniques.
