We are currently looking for an awesome Trainer and Assessor to join our RTO PEAK Training (90869) to support our Early Childhood Certificate III and Diploma students for all Early Childhood service types.

Located in Summer Hill and directly across from the train station, PEAK Training is a boutique RTO and operates as a not-for-profit organisation.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) training and assessing. You will be integral in ensuring our students have a positive learning experience, graduate from their course and grow professionally to provide quality care and education for children in the sector.

The main duties and responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging training and assessment across face-to-face, online and workplace settings.
  • Provide ongoing mentoring, guidance and support to students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Assess student knowledge and skills through theory, practical assessments, workplace visits and online observations.
  • Monitor, document and report on student progress, support needs and outcomes.
  • Provide timely, constructive assessment feedback and identify reasonable adjustments to support diverse learning needs.
  • Maintain, review and validate training and assessment resources in line with training plans and RTO requirements.
  • Ensure training and assessment practices comply with ASQA Standards for RTOs 2025 and contribute to continuous improvement activities.
  • Support student enrolment, onboarding and enquiries, including maintaining relevant student and trainer records.
  • Develop, deliver and review professional learning workshops, webinars and resources for early childhood educators.

Criteria:

Essential

  • Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent
  • Early Childhood Qualification (minimum level Diploma)
  • Minimum 3 years and current ECEC Sector experience
  • Demonstrated experience delivering training and assessment face-to-face, online and in the workplace.
  • Strong knowledge of competency-based assessment, VET compliance and ASQA Standards for RTOs 2025.
  • Experience developing, reviewing and validating training and assessment resources.
  • Strong student support, mentoring and inclusive learning skills, including reasonable adjustments.
  • Excellent communication, digital, organisational and time-management skills.

Desirable:

  • Current RTO experience
  • Experience in compliance requirements including ASQA Audits
  • Experience with VETtrak or other student management software
  • Experience with Online Learning Platforms
