Job Description
About the Position: This position is located in the Directorate of Clinical Support, Radiology Department of the U.S. Naval Branch Clinic, Iwakuni, Japan. The incumbent serves as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist performing complex and highly specialized radiology procedures, and is responsible for developing, maintaining, and reviewing Quality Improvement (QI) and Quality Control (QC) programs. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
Coordinate examination requests from physicians and other health care providers.
Perform radiological procedures such as mammography, mammography guided needle biopsy, stereotactic, and ultrasound guided procedures, and breast ultrasound.
Serve as a consultant to other medical treatment facilities that perform radiologic procedures.
Maintain Quality Improvement (QI) and Quality Control (QC) programs for radiologic procedures, to include developing quality control procedures for new examinations, quality assurance of equipment, and more.
Instruct medical, professional, and paraprofessional personnel in quality assurance and quality control in the Radiology Department.
