Job Description
This position is located in the Northern Research Station. The incumbent serves as the Deputy Station Director. Provides strategic, administrative and technical leadership and is responsible for coordinating and integrating the administrative, budgeting, research, and communications that support the Station. Oversee planning, direction, execution of a multifaceted research science program including management of subordinate units or teams.
Plan and prioritize science based projects including budget needs and allocation of funds.
Develop and implement quality and performance metrics for a science organization’s performance.
Secure and advocate for funding and partnerships inside and outside the organization.
Plan, organize, direct, implement, and evaluate processes to lead people and manage resources to achieve desired results.
Develop regulations, guidelines, or criteria for measuring program accomplishments for science program operations.
Write reports containing findings and recommendations that serve as the basis for new administrative systems, legislative initiatives, regulations, or programs.
Supervises 25% or more of the time.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or National. Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.
