About the Position: This position is located at Evans Army Community Hospital at Fort Carson, Colorado in Behavioral Health. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Perform professional counseling and addiction medicine treatment in support of patients with an alcohol and substance abuse diagnosis. Make clinical assessments to apply complex rehabilitation treatment services. Develop treatment plans that incorporate psychological theory, counseling techniques, and goals needed to restore patients to their normal work and social environment. Provide strategic interventions, motivational interviewing techniques and crisis counseling for patients and families. Conduct ongoing review of patient progress and evaluate and modify treatment plans to meet changing needs. Document case records consistent with clinical standards of care. Provide training and/or supervision using professional knowledge of procedures and practices related to the addiction medicine outpatient program and Army Substance Abuse Program.
