For almost 40 years, we've worked alongside individuals, families and communities across Moreton Bay and North Brisbane, delivering responsive services that support wellbeing, resilience and social inclusion.

This is a unique opportunity to shape community-led initiatives, lead a talented team and strengthen the impact of neighbourhood centres as welcoming, inclusive hubs where people connect, participate and thrive.

About the role

Reporting to the Housing & Neighbourhoods Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across Encircle's Community Development and Neighbourhood Centres services. You will be working across our three Neighbourhood Centres at Kallangur, Lawnton and Redcliffe.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing budgets, resources, compliance and reporting requirements
  • Contributing to organisational leadership and strategic priorities as part of the Housing & Neighbourhoods Leadership Team.

About you

You are an inspiring leader who is deeply committed to community-led practice and social inclusion. You combine strategic thinking with practical service delivery experience and thrive in collaborative environments.

To be successful, you will bring:

  • Qualifications in Community Development, Social Work, Human Services, Social Sciences, Communications, Marketing or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience leading community development programs, services or initiatives
  • Experience leading and developing teams
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and partnership-building skills
  • Experience in neighbourhood centres, community services or place-based settings
  • Strong project, operational and budget management capabilities
  • High-level facilitation, consultation and community engagement skills
  • A commitment to social justice, cultural safety, inclusion and continuous improvement.
