VACANCY: CLASS 2 DRIVERS X 2DUTY STATION: ZAKA RURAL DISTRICT COUNCIL JERERAGRADE: 5

Duties and Responsibilities

JOB DESCRIPTION• Driving council vehicles (transport goods, staff, equipment)• Routine vehicle checks and defect reporting•Maintaining vehicle log books and mileage records• Ensuring roadworthiness (VID regulations)• Performing minor running repairs• Assist in operating road equipment• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience

QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES• Minimum of 5"O" Levels including English• Aged between 30-45• Valid class 2 driver's license and defensive license• Minimum 2 years accident-free driving• Local Government and authority experience an added advantage• Police clearance is a MUST• Knowledge of maintenance and road safety regulations• Knowledge of operating road equipment/grader, TB, Tipper an added advantage• Ability to ride a motorbike an added advantage• Provide own accommodation
