This position requires the incumbent to be responsible for building foundations, joining wood materials as well as fitting and installing trim items. As a vital part of our projects, the incumbent will contribute to the building of high-quality Public Infrastructure .

Duties and Responsibilities

* Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.* Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.* Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.* Build foundations, install ringbeams , ceiling installations and roof systems.* Fit and install trim items, such as doors.* Collaborate with construction workers, electricians, and plumbers in the construction process.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications and Experience* Proven experience as a carpenter with a minimum of [5] years in the construction industry.*Completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program or vocational training with Class 1 .* Thorough knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction.* Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.).* Ability to read technical documents and drawings.* Good understanding of basic math and ability to perform calculations.* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.* A keen eye for detail, strong work ethic, and the ability to work efficiently in a team setting
