about the role

Mallee Sexual Assault Unit Ltd delivers a full range of specialist sexual and family violence services across the Mallee regions. We work collaboratively with the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing, all levels of government, and sector partners to provide crisis care responses, counselling, casework, advocacy, referral, and group-based support.

We currently have vacancies on our Board and are seeking to appoint new Non-Executive Directors who are committed to making a positive impact in the lives of individuals and communities aﬀected by family violence and sexual assault.

MSAU-MDVS is undertaking a period of organisational development, with a major campaign underway for development of new Mildura based facilities and welcomes expressions of interest from experienced and enthusiastic professionals with capabilities in one or more of the following areas:

Financial management and oversight
Information technology and cybersecurity
Property development and project management
Strategic communications and stakeholder engagement
Governance and risk
Fundraising

In addition to these technical skills, preference will be given to applicants who are AICD or Governance Institute graduates; applicants who reside in the Mallee region and/or applicants who bring diverse perspectives and experience.

As a Non-Executive Director, you will:

Share collective responsibility and contribute to the strategic leadership, governance and oversight of MSAULtd
Attend monthly Board Meetings (preferably in person)
Contribute to at least one Board Committee
Support the cultivation of key stakeholder relationships
Promote & demonstrate commitment to the organisations vision and values

All Board appointments are subject to probity and eligibility requirements.
