Key Responsibilities

Inspect vehicles to identify body damage and determine the required repair work.

Repair dents, scratches, cracks, and other forms of vehicle body damage.

Remove, repair, replace, and refit damaged vehicle panels and components.

Carry out filling, sanding, shaping, and other surface-preparation work.

Prepare vehicle surfaces for primer, paint, and refinishing.

Apply primers, base coats, clear coats, and other refinishing products as required.

Operate spray-painting equipment safely and professionally.

Accurately match vehicle paint colours and perform blending where required.

Polish and buff repaired surfaces to achieve a smooth and professional finish.

Inspect completed work and correct imperfections such as uneven surfaces, colour differences, runs, or overspray.

Complete repairs in accordance with applicable manufacturer and workshop quality standards.

Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area.

Use hand tools, power tools, spray equipment, and workshop equipment safely and correctly.

Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Report significant repair issues, delays, or additional requirements to the Operations Manager.

4. Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 3 years and up to 5 years of relevant professional experience in automotive body repair and refinishing.

Demonstrated hands-on experience in vehicle body repair and spray painting.

Completed post-secondary technical training from an accredited institution in Automotive Repair, Automotive Body Repair, Motor Vehicle Systems, or a related field.

Strong practical knowledge of sanding, filling, priming, painting, colour matching, polishing, and buffing.

A valid driver's licence is an asset.
