You will serve as a WELDER of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF. You will set up various propane/oxygen acetylene preheating torches as well as heat shielding arrangements to control preheating and welding temperatures during repairs of critical members. You will conduct own in-process dye penetrant and magnetic particle inspections to completed welds to assure freedom of defects prior to requiring final Nondestructive Testing (NDT) certification. You will perform welding on rotating items for purpose of restoring items to plan dimensions such as weld build-up of shafts.
