You will serve as a Supervisory Quality Assurance Specialist in the Voyage Repair Team (VRT), Fleet Readiness Center of FLTREADCEN DET MID ATLANTIC PAX RIVER. You will plan, direct, and coordinate the overall workload of the Division across both VRT sites. You will assign work to subordinates based on priorities, consideration of the relative difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of assigned employees. You will provide technical guidance regarding the prototyping, production, repair, assembly, disassembly, overhaul, alignment, and test of ALRE systems and components. You will develop Quality Characteristics Lists in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, technical manuals, drawings, blueprints, and input from NAWCAD Lakehurst Engineering, ensuring that all significant events are documented. You will verify product quality using sampling inspection, or when appropriate to the characteristics involved or pertinent to quality history, performs more intensive product inspection techniques. You will direct the performance of quality audits, investigations, and procedural reviews to improve product or service quality, turn-around-time and costs, and overall performance parameters.
