You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PHYSICAL SCIENTIST/OCEANOGRAPHER in the WARFIGHTING SUPPORT CENTER (NP2) DEPARTMENT of NAVOCEANO BAY ST LOUIS. You will plan, organize, and supervise an interdisciplinary team of scientists. You will evaluate the potential applications of remotely sensed data, processing, models, and systems for oceanographic support to military applications that characterize the ocean battlespace environment. You will inform the Division Director of anticipated vacancies, increase in workload, or other circumstances requiring replacements or additional staff. You will monitor progress of all projects/programs; investigate delays, identify causes, and initiate or recommend corrective action to assure deadline are met. You will maintain liaison with government and civilian institutions engaged in related expeditionary/SOF programs and with foreign governments and NATO commands as required.
