The primary purpose of this position is to act as the Supervisory Medical Administration Specialist to the Deputy Chief, Business Office within the Performance Management & Data Section at the Tennessee Valley Healthcare System (TVHS) Supervisory Medical Administration Specialist for the BO, reporting directly to the Chief of the BO. This position is primarily responsible for the implementation of streamlined processes & procedures that will systematically improve processes both within the Business Office and associated processes throughout the VAMC, including Community Clinics. The major duties of this position include but are not limited to: Track and report performance improvement and data management related activities affecting the operational efficiency and effectiveness of program Develop procedures for establishing, operating, and assessing the effectiveness of patient administration and processing data quality systems Review the work of staff members at various stages of completion to assure compliance Investigates and analyzes adverse VHA patient administration and processing data quality trends or conditions and initiates corrective action Consults with staff and managers to identify opportunities for related data quality improvement Assesses the productivity, effectiveness, and efficiency of administrative support and staff activities Identifies and corrects problems as they pertain to capturing accurate workload information Develop ways to obtain or develop data tools to evaluate the operations which requires development of policies and guidelines Work Schedule: 7:30am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
