Provide advice on compliance with federal pay statutes, regulatory requirements, policies, procedures, and any past practices. Plan and execute strategies to identify workforce needs; sources and recruits diverse, qualified applicants; assesses candidates using fair and valid methods; and makes hiring decisions that support organizational effectiveness. Provides technical answers to managers, employees, supervisors, etc., pertaining to assigned program area(s). Follows regulations from the Office of Personnel Management, the Guide to Processing Personnel Actions and other DOC guidance. Provides authoritative guidance to officials, supervisors, and employees on personnel processing requirements and pay administration principles.
