This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply. Incumbent provides a full range of clinical services. The Psychologist is a member is a multidisciplinary team that provides a full range of services for Veterans experiencing problems with homelessness, mental health diagnoses, psychosocial challenges, and/or substance use disorders. MHRRTP Psychologist conducts assessments of personality and cognitive functioning to help inform the development of treatment plan and support Veteran's recovery and well-being. Psychologists in the MHRRTP practice on an interdisciplinary team, providing crisis interventions, evidenced-based psychotherapies, and measurement-based care. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provides a full range of psycho-diagnostic services for the purpose of diagnostic clarification and treatment planning recommendations. These evaluations/assessments employ a compressive diagnostic interview, review of available records, collateral contact when available, as well as objective, and cognitive testing when indicated. Include assessment and using the most appropriate psychotherapeutic techniques in providing quality care. Provides a full range of psychological therapeutic interventions for MHRRTP residents utilizing empirically supported modalities when indicated. Interventions include individual, family and group psychotherapy. Develops, implements, and documents the psychotherapeutic treatment plan for an assigned caseload of patients, including prompt completion of clinical reminders. Performs diagnostic evaluations for Veterans with a full range of mental disorders. Provides a full range of therapeutic interventions including crisis interventions, evidenced-based psychotherapies (individual and group modalities), and measurement-based care. Consults with and serves as a resource for other professional personnel concerning the need for, evaluation of, and development of psychological services at the Orlando Veterans Administration Health Care System. Comply with national and local performance measures, including timely health care screening and completion of clinical reminders. Staff psychologists may be involved in program evaluation and/or research activities. Provides collateral clinical supervisory duties primarily for unlicensed staff, although a small number of professional staff may be supervised as well.
