Corrections professionals who foster a humane and secure environment and ensure public safety by preparing individuals for successful reentry into our communities.
Serves as a technical advisor to Residential Reentry Management Branch (RRMB) staff on all matters of safety and environmental health as it relates to programs under the control of the RRMB. Evaluates the level of safety and environmental health for all residential reentry contract facilities as directed. Conducts preliminary site inspections to ensure potential facilities are environmentally/sanitarily safe and determines the requirements or renovations necessary in order to bring the facility into compliance with the Bureau's requirements, to include standards for handicapped persons. Serves as an advisor to the RRMB and Safety Administrator, Central Office, on the development of national policy and assists in the drafting and implementation of that policy. Interprets new safety regulations and designs procedures for implementation of specific requirements pertaining to safety and environmental health as it affects residential reentry operations.
