The Nurse Manager (NM) oversees 24/7 unit operations, ensuring safe, efficient workflow and providing coverage for other managers as needed. They supervise, train, and evaluate staff while serving as a role model and clinical leader. *The Detail is a Not To Exceed Appointment for 120 days and maybe extended or converted to permanent position without further competition. Functions as a clinical expert and is accountable for all elements of the nursing process in providing and supervising patient care. Independently assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates age-specific care. Coordinates care with an emphasis on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction across the continuum of care. Enhances care outcomes by collaborating with the interdisciplinary team and leading innovative process improvement initiatives.
