The AWG performs major and minor buildings and facilities repair in the National Capital Region. This is a Direct Hire Public Notice. Incumbents typical work assignments may include the following: Performs complex facility alteration, renovation, maintenance, and construction work in secure and controlled-access environments, ensuring compliance with ICD 705 technical standards and secure construction protocols. Installs, modifies, repairs, and maintains secure facility infrastructure, such as STC-rated walls, secure ceilings, acoustic and penetration protection systems, and secure door assemblies, in strict adherence to construction drawings and technical specifications. Assists in identifying construction deficiencies, documenting conditions, supporting inspections, and maintaining compliance with standards for Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) environments. Coordinates work activities with project managers, engineers, security personnel, and other technical representatives as required during secure construction operations.
