The primary purpose of the Outpatient Primary Care Licensed Practical/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) is to provide foundational, patient-centered nursing care care under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse (RN) or provider, supporting safe, efficient clinical operations and contributing to high-quality care within the healthcare team. Provide postmortem care. Documents and verbally reports pertinent resident, staff, and visitor information according to Center and Nursing Service policy and procedure. Uses Therapeutic intervention to prevent and control inappropriate and disturbed behavior. Safely and effectively uses equipment required for resident care. Uses supplies and additional resources appropriately. Adheres to VA policies and procedures and makes frequent reference to them for questions.
