The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Lead Information Technology (IT) specialist responsible for administration, operation and maintenance of the FSS computer network and for providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees assigned to squadron. Serves as team leader over a group of information technology specialists and computer assistants. Plans, organizes and directs the activities of the Force Support Squadron information systems, ensuring that FSS local area network (LAN) and FSS wide area network (WAN) systems comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. Analyzes processes, problem activities and system designs of the FSS activities to comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. Represents the FSS with a variety of installation and function area organizations. Provides customer technical assistance support and conducts feasibility studies to analyzed FSS.NET LAN failures.
