About the Position: Incumbent will serve as the classification action officer for the G1 DCS for Personnel and Logistics, HQ, U.S. Army Transportation Command (ARTRANS) and provide a full range of civilian personnel advice for key managers, developing guidelines on programs that are often complex and controversial. Develop position descriptions per OPM classification standards. Conduct evaluations through review of regular/recurring and special reports. Issue classification evaluation decisions. Provide guidance in the area of classification. Responsibility for adjudication of classification appeals for all ARTRANS employees. Participate in formal and informal discussions with operating officials. Conduct studies in areas identified for special analysis.
