You will have knowledge of construction contract management as it specifically applies to elevators, escalators, dumbwaiters and other vertical transportation equipment. You will have the ability to locate and accurately analyze abnormal conditions or problems whether actual or potential such as inadequate safety interlocks, improper design, poor performance or ASME / ANSI Safety Code violations. You will have knowledge of basic mathematics including algebra and geometry to perform engineering calculations relative to vertical transportation equipment inspections. You will have the ability to provide technical information and advice to those who design, test, produce, procure, supply, operate, repair, or dispose of VTE equipment. You will generate detailed inspection reports assessing equipment condition, safety code compliance deficiencies noted, and makes recommendations for modifications to improve the safety, efficiency of use, and life span of the equipment.
